Upcoming Exhibitions in New Mexico

Our next two exhibitions will be in New Mexico -- Silver City in October 2019, and Taos in 2020.

SILVER CITY

We will be showing the Ambos Lados International Print Exchange at the Light Art Space in Silver City, New Mexico, from October 1st - 28th.  This exhibition is part of the 4th Annual Southwest Print Fiesta  -- October 11th  - 13th, 2019.

TAOS

Ambos Lados will be showing at the Taos Center for the Arts, in the Encore Gallery, from January 13th, to February 10th, 2020.  The opening will be on Thursday, January 23rd, from 4 - 6 PM.

Darlene Kalynka of Canada, and Julianna Kirwin -- both Ambos Lados printamakers -- had exhibitions in Albuquerque in September.

DARLENE KALYNKA

Darlene Kalynka of British Columbia, Canada, had an opening at Remarque Print Workshop in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 6, 2019.  The exhibition will be up until September, 28.

JULIANNA KIRWIN

Julianna Kirwin had a show at her studio in Albuquerque, on Septmber 7, 2019, also featuring the work of two other women, Juliana Coles and Ilene Weiss.

Back in El Paso -- Horned Toad Prints Exhibitions

While Manuel Guerra was in Mexico, Horned Toad Prints continued to exhibit in El Paso.

First there was the Horned Toad Prints exhibition, opening July 25th, sponsored by the Kalavera Culture Shop at the Roderick Artspace in El Paso.

Then after the tragic Walmart shooting in El Paso on August 3rd, there were two fundraisers for the victims -- one at the Roderick Artspace, and the other at Galeria Cinco Puntos, on the weekend of August 10 - 11.

Lastly, Francisco Delgado had a show at the Horned Toad Prints studio on August 29, 2019 (by then Manuel Guerra was in El Paso).

August 10 - 11, 2019

After the tragic shooting in El Paso, on August 3rd, 2019 at Walmart, the artists and printmakers held benefit shows at the Roderick Artspace and at Galeria Cinco Puntos, to raise money for the victims.

El Paso responded 

with an outpouring of sympathy and support

ANGEL CABRALES

Angel Cabrales had an opening in the Chamizal National Memorial in El Paso, the same night as Francisco Delgado's opening (August 29, 2019).  He also participated in Ambos Lados.
