San Miguel de Allende

We went to San Miguel de Allende for an afternoon, on August 2nd, as it is a famous art center.

There were no Ambos Lados printmakers from San Miguel, and we only discovered one print gallery.

Manuel Guerra
noticed a familiar sign

Inside the Instituto Allende

Receiving my participation trophy from a statue --
"PPKBZON"
Jose Manuel Zavala Zavala
"El Que No Vive para Servir, No Sirve para Vivir"

formerly the Escuela Universitaria de Bellas Artes

Fresco inside by Pedro Martinez
"El Fanatismo del Pueblo"

We were not allowed to take pictures of
but it is very interesting for it's polyangular distortion

had told me that he had assisted Siqueiros with this mural
back when I drew with him in Tucson

of El Centro Culturál Ignacio Ramírez "El Nigromante"
