The Rubin Center in El Paso had an opening of Oaxaca artists on September 20, 2018 -- Iconografika Oaxaca -- co-curated by Kerry Doyle and Carmen Cebreros Urzaiz.

It is great seeing a different art interaction between Oaxaca and El Paso -- as Manuel Guerra, a UTEP professor, and Taller Grafica Libre, in Zaachila, Oaxaca, are co-organizing the Ambos Lados International Print Exchange.

In the adjacent gallery was an exhibition by Betsabeé Romero of Mexico City. Part of this exhibit was a long row of white flags, that went from the outside entrance of the Rubin Center, to the top of a hill above the Sun Bowl on the UTEP campus.
