MEANWHILE...
Currenlty in the main gallery of the El Paso Museum of Art, is an exhibition of the prints by Jose Guadalupe Posada (1852 - 1913) , who is known for his calavera (skeleton) prints, made about the time of the Mexican Revolution, on broadsheets (one page newspapers) that were distributed to the masses. This exhibition runs from October 12, 2018 - January 20, 2019.
Jose Guadalupe Posada etched into zinc plates, and mounted them "type-high" on wood, so that they could be run through a letter press printer.
