VENDOR MARKET
The main event was the vendor market on Saturday, October 12, 2019. We met a lot of new printmakers, and said hello to other printmakers that we knew.
We bought 24 prints from the vendors, which we hope to show elsewhere, such as adjacent to the Desert Triangle exhibition in Las Cruces, coming November 1st.
Steamroller printing is a staple at all the Southwest Print Fiestas, and this one was as good as ever.
URUAPAN INTERVIEW
in Mexico
in Mexico
During the Southwest Print Fiesta, we had a live radio interview about the Ambos Lados International Print Exchange -- on Radio Uandarhi (Radio Cultural Communitaria) -- in Uruapan, Michoacan-- on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 8:00 PM Uruapan time. Samuel Diaz Gaona and Irma Reyes Almanza were in Uruapan, talking to Manuel Guerra and Karl Whitaker by smartphone. The interview seemed to go just over a half hour. One can find Radio Uandarhi on Radio Garden.
Urupan submitted 14 print editions to the Ambos Lados International Print Exchange.

DESERT TRIANGLE PRINT CARPETA
One of our previous print projects -- the Desert Triangle Print Carpeta -- will be shown at the Las Cruces Museum of Art, opening on November 1st, 2019. Many of the 30 artists in this portfolio also participated in Ambos Lados. We aspire to show the prints we bought at this Southwest Print Fiesta in an adjacent venue, even if only as a one night pop-up, in order to link the current print activity in Southern New Mexico, namely Silver City and Las Cruces.
