We owe a lot to Eric Thomson of Argos Studio/Gallery in Santa Fe for helping us exhibit all 158 prints. Not only did he mat and frame all the prints, but he came up with the affordable concept. He also gave us an exhibition at Argos. Thank you very much Eric Thomson!

DALLAS EXHIBITION

Our first Ambos Lados exhibition was at the University of Texas at Arlington for the big North Texas SGCI conference in March 2019.

SANTA FE

Our second exhibition was in Santa Fe, July 2019. During the opening weekend, the Horned Toad Prints crew also visited Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque.

SOUTHWEST PRINT FIESTA 2019

SILVER CITY

Our 3rd exhibition was at the Light Art Space during the Southwest Print Fiesta 2019, which is run by Karen Hymer, who also participated in Ambos Lados.

MEXICAN ADVENTURE

It's not that easy to send prints to Mexico. But it is great fun to go down there and visit the Mexican printmakers!

The day we planned to carry half the prints into Juarez, to send by DHL, was the same day that President Trump threatened to close the bridge to the United States. Lucky for us, that did not happen.

Meanwhile, Karl delivered all the prints by Oaxaca artists, to Taller Grafica Libre directly, in Zaachila.

THE BIG MEXICAN TOUR

SUMMER OF 2019

Manuel Guerra, Marco Sanchez, and Karl Whitaker traveled through Mexico to meet many of the Mexican artists that participated in Ambos Lados.

GUADALAJARA

The first stop on the Mexican tour was to Guadalajara in July, where we teamed up with Tres Gatos Press, and made prints with a tortilla press, on the streets of Guadalajara, and passed them out for free to the crowd that looked on.
